Freelance Handbags & Lifestyle Accessories Designer for MAYU:

n Project Duration: July–September 2026 (Freelance / Contract)

nMAYU is looking for a talented freelance Handbags & Lifestyle Accessories Designer to collaborate on the design and development of our upcoming collection, launching in early September .
nOur new collection will explore the intersection of luxury craftsmanship and material innovation, featuring fish leather alongside other next-generation sustainable leather alternatives. We are looking for a designer who can create timeless, commercially viable products while embracing the unique characteristics of innovative materials.

n What you will do:

- n
- Design a capsule collection of handbags and lifestyle accessoriesn
- Develop mood boards, concept directions, colour palettes, and material combinationsn
- Create detailed design sketches and technical drawingsn
- Prepare tech packs with construction details, dimensions, hardware specifications, and finishing notesn




- Collaborate closely with our founder and manufacturing partners during product developmentn
- Refine designs based on prototyping and material constraintsn
- Help build a cohesive collection aligned with MAYU's premium brand visionn

n We are looking for someone who has:
n
- n
- Experience designing handbags, leather goods, or lifestyle accessoriesn
- A strong portfolio demonstrating contemporary, premium product designn
- Knowledge of bag construction, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processesn
- Experience preparing production-ready tech packsn
- Robust understanding of luxury aesthetics, functionality, and user experiencen
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently within tight timelinesn
