Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components for energy-efficient drive and motion solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, performing design calculations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting prototype build and testing. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, optimizing designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements. The engineer will also mentor junior team members,



contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and interface with suppliers and customers as needed. This is a full-time, in office role based in Pune City.
Qualifications

- Strong mechanical design skills, including 3D CAD modeling and detailed engineering drafting.
- Proficiency in engineering analysis and calculations (strength of materials, machine design, thermal and vibration considerations).
- Experience with product development life cycle, from concept through prototyping, testing, and release to manufacturing.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Several years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in drive systems, rotating machinery, or energy-related products.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune City, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, ethics, and sustainability.
- Experience using engineering simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) and familiarity with PLM/ERP systems is an advantage.
