About The Role
The NetDevOps Consultant at SISL Global is a pivotal role designed for professionals who are passionate about network automation, integration, and orchestration across diverse environments including cloud, edge, and enterprise networks. This position focuses on implementing modern operational models such as AI-first and SRE-driven practices to enhance network reliability, scalability, and efficiency. The successful candidate will drive automation initiatives through Network Infrastructure as Code (NetIaC), develop CI/CD pipelines, and integrate AI/ML-driven operations to create self-healing, proactive networks. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in network engineering, automation tools, and observability platforms, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in network engineering, with extensive experience in automation and cloud environments. Relevant certifications in networking (such as Cisco CCNP, CCDP), cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), and automation tools are highly preferred. A deep understanding of core networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs), along with hands-on experience in network automation frameworks like Python, Ansible,
and Terraform, is essential. Familiarity with orchestration platforms such as Itential, source of truth tools like NetBox or Nautobot, and observability solutions including SolarWinds, Grafana, and Elastic is also required. The candidate should demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement within a multi-cloud, edge, and SD-WAN environment.
Responsibilities
The NetDevOps Consultant will be responsible for developing and managing Network Infrastructure as Code (NetIaC) using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to automate provisioning and lifecycle management of network resources. They will design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitOps principles, APIs, and orchestration platforms like Itential to streamline network service deployment. Automating connectivity services such as VLAN, DNS, Firewall, and DDI integrations with ServiceNow and ITSM workflows will be a key aspect of the role. The candidate will also spearhead AI/ML use cases, including WAN capacity forecasting, anomaly detection, and self-healing networks, to enhance network resilience and performance.
Managing observability platforms such as SolarWinds Orion, Elastic, Grafana, and ZDX for proactive monitoring and insights is crucial. The role involves providing engineering and support for MCP (Model Context Protocol) and AI agent integrations, ensuring compliance, security monitoring, and cost optimization. Collaborating with cloud, IAM, SRE, and platform teams across Azure, GCP,
and Edge environments will be essential to deliver a unified control plane for network operations.
The role also entails participating in design reviews to ensure resilience, scalability, and automation readiness, along with creating reusable playbooks, pipelines, and modules for provisioning, upgrades, compliance, and backups. Mentoring engineers and contributing to best practices in NetDevOps, automation, and reliability engineering will be part of the responsibilities. Supporting global 24x7 operations aligned with SRE principles—such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets—and driving incident reduction through AIOps initiatives are key objectives of this role.
