About The Role

Kooe Pvt Ltd is looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer – AI Agents to join its Data & Automation team. The role focuses on designing, building, and productionizing LLM-powered agents and backend services running on Databricks and AWS.

This is a code-first engineering role requiring robust Python/Node.js development, AWS/IaC expertise, and proven experience shipping LLM agents to production.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and productionize LLM-powered agents, including tool-use loops, retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Develop production-grade services and APIs using Python and Node.js/TypeScript.
- Build end-to-end RAG pipelines, including chunking, indexing, hybrid/reranked retrieval, and evaluation.
- Deploy and operate services on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage environment promotion.
- Work with AWS services including S3, IAM, networking, and related cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and manage Databricks notebooks and Jobs, including task chains, parameters, and schedules.
- Work with Unity Catalog and Delta Lake, including MERGE, overwrite, and schema evolution.
- Debug and enhance existing data and automation pipelines.
- Follow engineering best practices including testing, documentation, 12-factor principles, feature branching, PR reviews, and Conventional Commits.
- Own solutions from development through production and contribute independently to technical decisions.

Mandatory RequirementsSoftware Engineering

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Node.js/TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of data structures,



API design, error handling, testing, and debugging.
- Experience with Git feature branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, tested, production-grade code.

LLM Agents – Non-Negotiable

- Proven experience building and deploying LLM agents to production.
- Strong understanding of multi-step agent loops, tool calling, tool observation, and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience designing RAG solutions end-to-end.
- Experience with chunking, indexing, retrieval, hybrid search, and reranking.
- Experience defining and implementing LLM/agent evaluation strategies.
- Understanding of when to use an agent versus a standard LLM call or deterministic logic.
- Framework experience with LangChain, CrewAI, Databricks Agent Framework, or custom tool-use implementations.

AWS & Infrastructure

- Strong hands-on AWS experience.
- Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or equivalent IaC tools.
- Experience with CI/CD, environment promotion, S3, IAM, and networking.

Databricks

- Working experience with Databricks notebooks and Jobs.
- Understanding of Unity Catalog and catalog.schema.table namespace.
- Hands-on experience with Delta Lake, including MERGE, overwrite, and schema evolution.
- Ability to troubleshoot and enhance existing Databricks pipelines independently.

Good to Have

- Advanced Databricks/Spark performance tuning.
- Advanced Unity Catalog governance.
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) experience.
- Agent observability, monitoring, and tracing tools.
