Role Overview

The Last Mile Executive (LME) is responsible for the timely pickup, safe transportation, and delivery of patient samples from hospitals, clinics, franchisees, and client locations to AVM Labs. The role involves maintaining sample integrity, following cold-chain procedures, meeting delivery timelines, and maintaining professional communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities1. Sample Pickup & Transportation

- Collect patient samples from hospitals, clinics, franchisees, and client locations.
- Maintain samples within the required 2°C–8°C temperature range.
- Use the designated chiller box and ensure ice/gel packs are properly conditioned before starting the route.
- Record temperature at pickup and before laboratory handover.
- Immediately report temperature deviations or sample-related concerns to the supervisor.
- Protect samples and the chiller box from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
- Ensure samples reach the laboratory within the required TAT:
- Intra-city: Within 3 hours
- Inter-city: Within 18 hours
- CRL: Within 38 hours

2. Client Handling

- Represent AVM Labs professionally at client locations.
- Wear the company uniform and display the company ID card while on duty.
- Maintain polite and professional communication with clients and centre staff.
- Handle client queries and operational concerns calmly.
- Escalate major client or operational issues to the supervisor.

3. Route & Daily Operations

- Review assigned routes and pickup schedules before starting the shift.
- Follow planned routes and client timings.
- Monitor pickup and delivery timings throughout the day.
- Maintain accurate temperature, pickup, and handover records.
- Communicate delays,



pending pickups, or special instructions to the concerned team.

4. Attendance & Coordination

- Maintain regular attendance and report to duty as scheduled.
- Inform the supervisor in advance regarding planned leave.
- In case of an emergency, inform the supervisor as early as possible.
- Ensure proper handover of pending pickups and important instructions when required.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- On-Time Pickup: ≥95%
- Pickup-to-Lab TAT: As per assigned route and service standards
- Customer Complaints: Minimum/zero avoidable complaints
- Attendance: ≥95%
- Compliance with 2°C–8°C cold-chain requirements
- Compliance with company uniform, ID card, and field-discipline standards

Compensation & Benefits

- Pickup Incentive: ₹100 per pickup
- ₹50 – Successful pickup
- ₹50 – Performance-based incentive
- Inter-city Sample Transport Cost: Reimbursed as per company policy
