Position: Senior Civil Design Engineer

Department: Civil Engineering / Design

Experience: 10- 15 years

Location- Kolkata

We are seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineer to plan, design, analyze, and deliver civil/structural engineering solutions for large-scale industrial, infrastructure, EPC, and heavy engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

1) Design and analyze RCC and structural systems, including beams, slabs, columns, footings, pile foundations, pile caps, pedestals, and equipment foundations.

2) Prepare design calculations, structural analysis models, GA/layout drawings, reinforcement detailing, and construction documentation.

3) Perform structural analysis considering dead, live, equipment, wind, seismic, and project-specific loads.

4) Develop and review designs using STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.

5) Prepare BOQ, material estimates, quantity take-offs, and engineering reports.

6) Review drawings, vendor documents, equipment layouts, and foundation requirements for technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance.

7) Ensure deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable IS/ACI/Eurocodes, QA/QC procedures, drawing standards, and revision control.

8) Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical and interface issues.

9) Review comments, implement design changes, identify design conflicts/risks,



and provide practical engineering solutions.

10) Participate in design reviews and technical meetings and provide engineering support.

11) Mentor and review the work of junior engineers/designers.

Skills & Qualifications

1) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

2) 10–15 years of relevant experience in civil/structural design, preferably in industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or heavy engineering projects.

3) Strong knowledge of structural analysis, RCC design, foundation design, soil-structure interaction, load paths, and construction methodologies.

4) Hands-on experience in structural and foundation design/detailing.

5) Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and AutoCAD.

6) Positive knowledge of IS/ACI/Eurocode or applicable international design standards.

7) Experience in BOQ, quantity take-offs, material estimation, and construction drawings.

8) Strong analytical, problem-solving, coordination, communication, and decision-making skills.

9) Ability to manage multiple deliverables under project deadlines, with strong focus on accuracy, safety, quality, and constructability.
