Role Summary

The Migration Factory Lead will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of large-scale On-Premises to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) migration programs. This role requires strong leadership, deep infrastructure and cloud migration experience, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely, secure, and high-quality migrations.

Experience Required

- Minimum 15 years of overall IT experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or data center transformation programs
- Proven experience leading large-scale migrations from On-Premises to GCP or other hyperscalers

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end responsibility for Migration Factory setup and execution for On-Prem to GCP migrations
- Define migration strategy, factory operating model, governance, and execution roadmap
- Ensure on-time, within-scope, and within-budget migration delivery
- Coordinate with application migration teams to align infra and app migration plans
- Lead and manage infrastructure teams (compute, storage, network, backup, security)
- Engage with stakeholders including customers, application owners, architects, vendors, and leadership
- Track migration progress, risks, dependencies, and report status to senior leadership
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cloud best practices
- Drive continuous improvement, automation,



and standardization across the migration factory

Stakeholder Management & Communication

- Act as the single point of accountability for migration execution
- Communicate effectively with business, application, and infrastructure stakeholders
- Manage expectations and resolve cross-team dependencies and conflicts

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on understanding of GCP services: Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, Backup & DR
- Experience with migration tools and frameworks (M4C, Velostrata, Database Migration Service, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of on-prem infrastructure (VMware, storage, networking, Linux/Windows)
- Understanding of security, networking, and governance in cloud environments

Leadership & Soft Skills

- Strong people management and team leadership skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong program management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment

Preferred Qualifications

- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or related certification
- Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments
- Experience with migration factory or industrialized migration models
