Fleet Head

GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (GVK EMRI) is seeking a Fleet Head to ensure the 24/7 availability of our fleet and reduce maintenance costs. This pivotal leadership role involves planning and directing fleet staff, developing preventive maintenance programs, managing budgets, and optimizing vehicle performance across the state.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for fleet maintenance for its 24/7 availability and reduction of cost of maintenance.
- Plan and accomplish goals of the department and distribute and direct the work of fleet staff.
- Develops and implements vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs.
- Prepare fleet department budgets.
- Develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships.
- Review off-road status daily and improve uptime of the state by keeping downtime below 5%.
- Responsible for benchmarking KMPL (Kilometers Per Liter) of vehicles in the state and achieving it.
- Responsible for 100% Schedule Servicing adherence of the Fleet.
- Ensuring Optimum Tyre & Battery Life.




- Review Accident vehicles on a daily basis and initiate suitable action for vehicle recovery.
- Responsible for enhancement of competency levels of HO Fleet Coordinators.
- Ensure all fitness renewals are tracked and done within the stipulated timeline.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for all fleet items in consultation with National HO, based on local conditions, and ensure implementation.
- Responsible for reviewing the performance of the zonal workshops and service vans.
- Track contractual obligations of vendors.
- Identify contractual deviations of vendors.
- Owner for stickering & branding recommended by the Marketing department on Ambulances.
- Build rapport with insurance agencies for smooth processing of claims.
- Support in Go-Live Audits.
