Database Administrator

GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (GVK EMRI) is looking for a skilled Database Administrator to take on the complete management, support, and operation of the Dial 112 database. Based in Hyderabad, Telangana, this critical role involves ensuring the high availability and security of our application and database, providing strategic direction, and performing regular backups and troubleshooting.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Complete management, support, fine-tuning, security, maintenance, and operation of the Dial 112 Database.
- Provide a strategic database direction for the organization.
- Regular backup of the database as defined by Police.
- Ensuring high availability of Dial 112 Application & Database.
- Troubleshoot Dial 112 Applications and Database related issues.
- Cooperate with PMC (Project Management Consultant) and Police, furnishing data/reports as required by PMC.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

- Any global certification in Database administration.




- Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and normalization.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with one or more RDBMS platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Knowledge of backup, restore, recovery models, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, PowerShell) for automation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently, including in a 24x7 setting (if required).
