Job Summary:

We are a leading Construction Company based in Nungambakkam, Chennai looking for an experienced QS & Tendering Manager with 15+ years experience to handle quantity surveying, tendering and billing for commercial and residential building projects. Only candidates from BOQ based contracting companies and PMC companies should apply.

Required Skills and Competencies - Mandatory:

- Strong knowledge of quantity estimation and measurement including BBS - Bar Bending Schedule preparation and checking

- Proficiency in rate analysis for tendering and cost estimation

- Good understanding of current material and labour market rates in Chennai / Tamil Nadu

- Ability to independently source and validate market information relevant to tenders

- Strong reconciliation skills to verify and substantiate client claims and check work done

- Good communication skills to explain rates, quantities and billing details clearly to clients and management

- Ability to manage multiple project billing requirements with accuracy and meet timelines

- Experience in commercial and residential building projects

Software Skills Required:

- AutoCAD - Must

- MS Office - Excel Advanced Must

- MS Project - For preparing basic tender schedules and project planning

Preferred Industry Background:





- Contracting companies operating on BOQ based model - Mandatory

- Project Management Consultancy PMC companies handling commercial and residential buildings

- Building Construction Companies - High Rise, Villas, Apartments, Office Buildings

Companies / Backgrounds to Avoid - Not Eligible:

- Property Development Companies / Real Estate Developers Only

- Infrastructure Companies - Roads, Bridges, Highways, Metro, Industrial infra

Roles to Target:

- QS Manager, Tendering Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Estimation Manager, Billing Manager, Contracts Manager from contracting background

Interview Process:

1. HR Screening Round

2. Technical Test - Covers quantity take-off, rate analysis, reconciliation and identification of errors in work done / BBS - Mandatory test

3. Final Interview with Managing Director
