Job Summary

Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting for the Conakry office, with responsibility for books of accounts, receivables, payables, reconciliations, monthly closing, financial reporting, audit support and supervision of junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Review daily sales, purchase, receipt, payment and journal entries and maintain complete general/sub-ledgers.
- Manage customer ageing, receivable follow-up, customer advances and account reconciliations.
- Review supplier invoices, vendor ledgers, payment schedules, outstanding liabilities and supplier advances.
- Perform bank and cash reconciliations and account for bank charges, fund transfers and foreign-exchange differences.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing, including accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, trial balance and schedules.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, MIS, expense analysis and information required for management decisions.
- Maintain taxation and statutory documentation for Guinea and coordinate with local accountants, tax consultants and auditors.




- Verify supplier invoices, employee reimbursements and expense claims and prevent duplicate or unsupported payments.
- Support international and foreign-currency transaction accounting, inter-company reconciliation and overseas payments.
- Assist audits, strengthen internal controls and supervise Accountants and Accounts Executives.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting certification is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Accounts and Finance, including independent accounting and reconciliation responsibilities.

- Solid bookkeeping, ledger scrutiny and reconciliation.
