Job Title: Database Engineer

Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, procedures and indexes
- Support database migrations and release deployments
- Execute PostgreSQL performance tuning and optimization activities
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of database-related issues
- Ensure database stability, integrity and scalability for enterprise applications

Recommended qualifications Database Engineer *-*Mandatory
- Minimum 7+ years database engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
- Robust SQL expertise
- Experience with: PostgreSQL administration
- Query optimization
- Index optimization
- Database performance tuning
- Data modelling
- Release and deployment support
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments

Preferred
- Experience supporting Java-based application landscapes
- Experience with high-volume transactional systems
