ITOM Roles & Responsibilities
- Configure and manage ServiceNow ITOM – Discovery, Service Mapping & Event Management.
- Configure MID Servers, Discovery schedules, credentials, patterns and probes/sensors.
- Discover and maintain servers, applications, databases, network devices and CIs.
- Build and maintain business/application service maps and CI relationships.
- Configure event rules, alert correlation, filtering, deduplication and incident generation.
- Maintain CMDB accuracy, IRE and CI reconciliation.
- Troubleshoot Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management issues.
- Integrate monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, AWS/Azure Monitor.
- Support automation, event noise reduction and ITOM process improvement.
