Position- Freelance DI Colorist

About the role

We are looking for a freelance DI colorist to grade premium hotel, resort, architecture and interior films. The colorist must create an elegant cinematic finish while maintaining natural materials, realistic skin tones and visual consistency across different cameras and lighting environments.

This is a remote, project-based specialist role.

Responsibilities
- Review camera formats, codecs, colour spaces and available reference material.
- Conform picture-locked timelines or grade supplied source files.
- Match footage from drones and different cameras.
- Balance exterior, interior and mixed-lighting shots.
- Recover and control highlights around windows and exterior areas where possible.
- Maintain natural skin tones and accurate architectural materials.
- Develop a consistent visual mood based on the creative brief.




- Provide review exports before final rendering.
- Deliver graded masters or individual graded shots according to the agreed workflow.
- Maintain consistent project organisation and archive files for the agreed period.

Required skills
- Professional working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve.
- Robust understanding of colour management, log & raw footage, scopes and camera colour spaces.
- Demonstrated experience grading hospitality, architecture, interiors, travel, lifestyle or commercial films.
- Calibrated or professionally profiled grading display.
- Reliable high-speed internet and secure file-management practices.
- Ability to explain technical limitations clearly.
