- Key Responsibilities:
- - Prepare and maintain product-wise and process-wise cost sheets.
- Calculate cost of production, cost of sales and conversion costs for various maize/starch products.
- Analyse raw material consumption, particularly maize and other production inputs.
- Monitor material yield, process loss, wastage and production variances.
- Prepare standard vs. actual cost variance analysis and highlight major deviations.
- Calculate and analyse overhead costs, including power, fuel, labour, repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare monthly cost reports/MIS for management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cost reduction initiatives.
- Analyse profitability product-wise/customer-wise where required.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores and Finance teams for costing data.
- Maintain and reconcile cost records and inventory-related costing data.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of cost records under applicable Companies Act requirements.
- Coordinate with Cost Auditors and provide required schedules, statements and supporting documents.
- Assist in GST, statutory audit,



internal audit and financial audit requirements related to costing.
- Review inventory valuation and ensure appropriate costing of raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate costing reports in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- - Required Qualification
- CMA/ICWA – Qualified or Part Qualified
- B.Com/M.Com may be preferred.
- - Experience in manufacturing/costing, preferably chemical, food, starch, agro-processing or similar process industries.
- - Positive knowledge of Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Budgeting and Variance Analysis.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP preferred.
