Responsibilities -

Provide qualified nursing care with
an assigned unit according to established standards and procedures.

Provide comprehensive care to assigned
patients. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for her
patient.

Follows policy and delivers designated
nursing interventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the
documented medical plan of care.

Takes the nursing history, summarizes
data and states nursing diagnoses / patient care needs.

Organize and maintain patient file and
reports as per the MRD requirements in all shifts.

Always greet with smile to patient and
companion for their well-being. Be groomed always.

Observes and records signs, symptoms
and behaviors including the physiological status of patients? reports,
assessment changes to the concerned authority.

Ensure smooth functioning of admission,
discharge and transfer procedures and assists others with patients? activities
and care with collaborative manner.

Follow handover-takeover process
accurately with written/online notes.

Ensure introduction of next shift team
member to patient and patient side medication check in each shift.

Executes physician?s orders for all
assigned patients safely and properly administers medications and treatments.
Strictly adhere read back policy

Ensure identification safety for
collection of specimens during collection and till the report informed to
consultant.

Participate in consultant?s rounds and
assist by giving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment
and observations. Carry out routine check at each handover that all equipment's
are in working order.

Ensure that all items used for patients
inclusive of medications, surgical supplies are duly recorded and charged. Keep
equipment?s in charging.

Ensure during internal transfer except
the ordered medicine all other drug to be returned before shifting to other




unit.

Maintain patients and accompanies
safety by taking preventive measures against accidents. Accurately records and
reports incidents. Ensure
every error to be recorded. Ensure strict infection control protocol and
bio-waste guidelines to be followed for 24x7. Ensure that daily briefing points
and sign off are mandatory for day-to-day update.

Specific
Unit Related Nursing Care -

- Responsible
for safety and comfort of patients, and the health and safety of employees
assigned to the respective unit. Ensure that all the files (record) are
completely maintained.
- Ensure
that proper observation records of the patient are made and necessary
information imparted to the concerned authorities.
- Ensure
proper handling of patient. Follow the Chemo protocols and assist the adverse
effects.
- Have full knowledge of
Neutropenic precautions and it is importance. Assist the stem cell collection.
- Assist and handle the
post stem acute and chronic GVHD. Provide post-operative care to the patients
as per their needs.
- Educate the patient as
well relatives about lymphedema exercise and massaging for various surgeries.
- Educate the patient as
well relatives about post head and neck exercise (lip, tongue and jaw)
- Have knowledge about
cytotoxic drug management as well segregation its proper disposal methods.
- Have knowledge about
central line care as well dressing precautions. Monitors
vital sign and reports abnormalities. Ensure samples are collected and send to
concerned diagnostic labs . To
ensure that staff is taking precaution to avoid blood born infection. To ensure
refrigerator/deep freezer temperature is maintained. To ensure that medical
reports are generated timely. Any other jobs assigned by superior.
