Job Summary

We seek a dedicated and experienced Structured Cabling Installer to support the physical installation of copper and fibre optic cabling infrastructure across various commercial and data centre projects in India. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who take pride in clean, exact installation work and understand the importance of structured cabling in high-performance network environments.

Responsibilities

- Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a copper cabling and single-mode/multi-mode fibre optic systems.
- Perform cable pulling, routing, dressing, labelling, and patching following company and industry standards.
- Install cabling infrastructure, including cable trays, conduits, raceways, patch panels, racks, and cabinets.
- Follow project drawings and layout plans to execute structured cabling tasks accurately.
- Conduct testing and certifying cables using Fluke testers and OTDR tools to verify performance.
- Assist with containment installation and data hall preparation, including mounting and grounding hardware.
- Maintain clean and organised workspaces in compliance with safety regulations.
- Work under the direction of a Site Supervisor or Project Manager to complete tasks on time and to specification.
- Document all completed work, including cable labelling and test results.
- Participate in quality control inspections and rectify any identified deficiencies.




- Maintain accurate records of cable infrastructure, including diagrams and labelling schemes.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to support network and IT infrastructure needs.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in structured cabling installation.
- Solid understanding of copper and fibre optic cabling types, termination standards, and installation best practices.
- Ability to use basic cabling tools, hand tools, testers, and fibre cleaning kits.
- Familiarity with TIA/EIA, ANSI, and BICSI installation standards.
- Physically fit and capable of working on ladders, raised floors, or confined spaces.
- Willingness to travel to different project locations within India.
- Team player with a proactive work ethic and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Technical Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field
- BICSI Installer 1 or equivalent structured cabling training.
- Prior experience working in data centres or high-density IT environments.

Language Requirements

- Fluent in both English (spoken and written).
