ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and manage the complete quality function at Moxy Steel Impex. The ideal candidate will ensure that all materials sourced, stocked and dispatched meet the required international standards and customer specifications. This is a hands on role that requires strong technical knowledge of steel and metals combined with the ability to coordinate with suppliers, third party inspectors and internal teams seamlessly.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Material Inspection & Verification

- Inspect incoming materials against Mill Test Certificates (MTC), purchase orders and customer specifications
- Verify chemical and mechanical properties of all materials including pipes, tubes, plates, fittings, flanges and specialty metals
- Check heat numbers, lot numbers and traceability documentation for all materials
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality of materials before acceptance

Standards & Compliance

- Ensure all materials comply with international standards ASTM, ASME, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, ANSI
- Maintain and implement ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems
- Handle IBR certification documentation and compliance
- Ensure API standard compliance for pipes and tubes wherever applicable

Third Party Inspection Coordination

- Coordinate with third party inspection agencies including TUV, SGS, BV, CEIL, PDIL and EIL
- Prepare and review inspection test plans (ITP)
- Accompany or oversee inspectors during material inspection at mill or warehouse
- Review and approve third party inspection reports

Export & Dispatch Quality

- Inspect packing,



labelling and marking of materials before dispatch especially for export shipments
- Ensure all export documentation is aligned with quality requirements
- Issue inspection release notes and material dispatch clearance

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain complete QC documentation including inspection reports, NCRs and CAPA records
- Prepare quality reports for management review
- Handle customer complaints related to material quality and initiate root cause analysis
- Maintain calibration records of measuring and testing instruments

Vendor & Supplier Quality

- Assess and evaluate supplier and mill quality systems
- Conduct vendor audits where required
- Maintain approved vendor list based on quality performance

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical or Materials Engineering Diploma holders with strong experience also considered
- Experience: 4 to 8 years in QA/QC in steel, metals, pipes, fittings or related industry
- Industry Background: Iron & Steel / Oil & Gas / Pipe & Tube Manufacturing / Heavy Engineering strongly preferred
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of ASTM, ASME, DIN, BS, JIS standards and MTC verification
- Inspection Experience: Hands on experience coordinating with TUV, SGS, BV or similar agencies
- Certifications: NDT Level II, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor preferred but not mandatory
- Software: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and basic ERP systems
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication, ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Language: English proficiency required — Hindi an added advantage
