Automation Test Engineer (Java Selenium / Playwright)

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in
automation testing, framework development, and quality assurance practices. The ideal
candidate should have hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java and/or
Playwright automation, along with strong knowledge of API testing, test frameworks, and
CI/CD integration.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using
Selenium WebDriver with Java and/or Playwright.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools like TestNG, JUnit,
Cucumber BDD, or similar frameworks.
Create reusable automation components using design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM).
Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
Analyze requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and automation
strategies.
Perform UI automation testing across multiple browsers and platforms.
Perform API testing and automation using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or
similar tools.
Identify, debug, and resolve automation script failures.
Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions,
GitLab CI, or similar tools.




Maintain automation code repositories using Git.
Generate and analyze automation execution reports.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality
delivery.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and
retrospectives.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java.
Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber BDD.
Valuable understanding of Java programming concepts (OOPs, Collections, Exception
Handling).
Experience in designing automation frameworks and reusable components.
Strong knowledge of XPath, CSS selectors, locators, waits, and handling dynamic
elements.
Experience with API testing using Postman and/or Rest Assured.
Good understanding of SQL for backend validation.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Experience working with version control tools like Git.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with Playwright automation using JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with mobile automation using Appium.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms.
Experience working in Agile environments.
