UiPath Platform Administrator

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support UiPath Orchestrator / Automation Cloud environments.
- Configure and manage tenants, folders, machines, runtimes, users, roles, queues, assets, and licenses.
- Manage attended and unattended robot environments.
- Support Development, UAT, and Production environments.
- Monitor platform health, robot availability, jobs, queues, and runtime utilization.
- Troubleshoot Orchestrator, robot, agents, maestro, machine, connectivity, deployment, and production issues.
- Manage UiPath packages, releases, and environment deployments.
- Support and improve CI/CD processes for UiPath deployments.
- Manage platform access, roles, credentials, service accounts, and security controls.
- Support platform upgrades, migrations, patches, backup, and disaster recovery activities.
- Work with infrastructure, cloud, network, database, security, and application teams.
- Support UiPath developers in troubleshooting platform and production issues.
- Review automation solutions from a platform, performance, security, and scalability perspective.
- Maintain platform standards, documentation, governance, and best practices.
- Support platform capacity planning and runtime/license optimization.
- Administer UiPath Automation Suite deployed on RHEL/Linux, including single-node and multi-node HA (High Availability Add-on) clusters built on RKE2/Kubernetes.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster health for Automation Suite node status, pod health, control-plane/etcd health, and cluster resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage).
- Perform Automation Suite installation, upgrade,



and patching using the uipathctl CLI and offline/online installer bundles, including pre-checks and fact-file based deployments.
- Manage cluster storage for Automation Suite (Rook-Ceph / Longhorn / external NFS) and monitor storage health and capacity.
- Manage TLS/SSL certificate issuance, renewal, and rotation for Automation Suite services on Linux.
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux-side networking, firewall (firewalld/iptables), DNS, load balancer, and reverse proxy (NGINX) settings for Automation Suite.
- Apply Linux OS hardening, SELinux policy configuration, and OS-level patching for Automation Suite hosts in coordination with the infra/security team.
- Manage the external database layer for Automation Suite (SQL Server or, where applicable, PostgreSQL) connectivity, backup schedules, and performance tuning.
- Perform Automation Suite backup and Disaster Recovery using Velero-based backups and documented DR runbooks; validate restore procedures periodically.
- Monitor Automation Suite via the bundled Prometheus/Grafana/Insights stack and integrate with enterprise monitoring/observability tools.
- Manage identity and SSO integration (UiPath Identity Server / SAML / AD) for Automation Suite running on Linux.
- Understand that robot execution (attended/unattended) still occurs on Windows machines/VMs even when the Orchestrator platform itself is hosted on Linux, and coordinate cross-OS troubleshooting accordingly.

- Robust knowledge of UiPath Orchestrator and UiPath platform components.
- Hands-on experience managing enterprise UiPath environments.
- UiPath Automation Cloud or Automation Suite experience.
- UiPath installation, upgrades, or migration experience.
- Good understanding of machines, machine templates, runtimes, robots, folders, queues, assets, and licensing.
- Experience with UiPath platform administration and production support.
- Experience troubleshooting robot connectivity and platform-related issues.
- Knowledge of UiPath deployment and CI/CD processes.
- Understanding of Windows Server, networking, certificates, databases, and APIs.
- Good understanding of security, RBAC, credentials, and service accounts.
- Good UiPath development knowledge.
- Monitoring and observability tools.
- Insights, UiPath DU/IXP, Integration Service, UiPath Agents / Agentic Automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of RHEL/Linux administration systemd services, package management (yum/dnf), log analysis (journalctl), user/permission management.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes fundamentals pods, deployments, services, namespaces, kubectl troubleshooting commands — as applied to Automation Suite clusters.
- Experience with uipathctl CLI for Automation Suite install/upgrade/health-check operations.
- Understanding of container storage concepts (Rook-Ceph, Longhorn) and Linux volume/disk management.
- Experience with Linux-based certificate management (OpenSSL, cert-manager concepts) and NGINX ingress configuration.
- Basic scripting on Linux (Bash) for automation of routine admin/health-check tasks.
- Understanding of hybrid architecture — Linux-hosted Orchestrator/Automation Suite communicating with Windows-hosted robot fleets.
