CNC Programmer Cum Operator

Location: Mehtex Engineering

Department: Production / Machining

Job Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate CNC/VMC machines for production.
- Prepare and modify CNC programs as per engineering drawings and component requirements.
- Set work offsets, tool offsets, tool lengths, and cutting parameters.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and machining processes.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and surface-finish requirements.
- Perform in-process and final inspection using Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Identify and rectify machining, dimensional, and tooling issues during production.
- Maintain proper machine settings, tooling, and production records.
- Ensure production meets required quality, quantity, and cycle-time targets.
- Follow safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.

Requirements:





- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant CNC/VMC programming and operating experience.
- Positive knowledge of CNC machine setup, programming, tooling, and machining processes.
- Ability to independently read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques.
- Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc will be an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and machine-related problems.
- Willingness to work in shifts and meet production requirements.
