Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Automation Testing Engineer with strong experience in API Testing and Playwright automation framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for web applications and APIs, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Playwright.
- Create and execute automated test cases for web applications and REST APIs.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate API responses, request payloads, authentication mechanisms, and error handling.
- Develop and maintain test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript or Java.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test execution reports.
- Ensure software quality through continuous testing and process improvements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong experience with Playwright automation framework.




- Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Positive understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and API authentication methods.
- Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript ,Java Or Python programming.
- Experience with test frameworks such as Playwright Test, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Knowledge of Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps for source control.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Knowledge of database testing using SQL.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software testing are an added advantage.
