Job Title: Policy Communications Specialist Financial Inclusion

Job Purpose

The incumbent will work to support and strengthen the Financial Inclusion knowledge vertical. S/he will actively outreach and engage with the policy partners, knowledge institutions, implementation agencies, and other stakeholders assisting strategic communications and advocacy of datasets, research insights and policy initiatives of India Data Portal in the FI ecosystem. S/he will also be creatively coordinating and anchoring brand-building efforts of India Data Portal through targeted outreach communication, emailers, webinars, workshops, digital marketing, PR events, etc. while impactfully delivering enduring and measurable value to the clients and India Data Portal ecosystem inside and outside Bharti Institute of Public Policy at the Indian School of Business.

Job Outline

- The suitable candidate will be the one having hands on expertise and professional experience in impact led, socio-economic policy research, advocacy, and strategic outreach activities.
- S/he should have managed or played key role in planning, formalising, and delivering development communications and advocacy strategies, technology enabled initiatives, and social media campaigns to successfully implement high impact projects/programs.
- S/he should be confident to contribute, collaborate and nurture solid relationships with the new and existing partners, agencies, and other stakeholders in the financial inclusion ecosystem for establishing India Data Portal as the most preferred platform for datasets, analytics, and infographic visualisation support.
- S/he should be a creative visualiser and anchor of brand-building efforts of India Data Portal through targeted outreach communication, emailers, webinars, workshops, digital marketing, PR events, etc. while impactfully delivering enduring and measurable value to the clients and India Data Portal.




- S/he will be creating effective strategies to promote the long-term growth and integration of the India Data Portal in the broader FI landscape.

Job Specifications

Knowledge / Education:

- Degree/Master s in Communications or Marketing Management

Specific Skills:

- Possess hands on expertise and work experience in a client-facing role, preferably managing technology enabled impact oriented programs

- Mid management level work experience in policy research and communications in development organizations of repute.

- Prior experience in digital marketing with knowledge of the latest media trends is a prerequisite.

- Have excellent communication, presentation, and persuasive skills with the ability to network and outreach at all levels

Desirable Experience:

- 5+ years work experience

Job Interface/Relationships

- Internal: India Data Portal Team; Donors; External partners; Consultants and Vendors

Key Responsibilities

- Reaching out to new partners, developing, and growing the partner s portfolio, anchoring engagement activities, and maintaining enduring relationships at appropriate levels internally and externally.
- Initiating and anchoring outreach/engagement/media campaigns, developing execution frameworks, and collaborating for impactful delivery of ongoing / proposed activities/plans.
- Coordinating with and constructively supporting policy research, data visualization, publicity, PR, and media engagements for FI knowledge vertical of India Data Portal and BIPP.
- Travelling to places of partners and project locations for policy communication, promotion, consultative engagements, partners/clients onboarding, capacity building, handholding, and community outreach. Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Total Time Spent on the assigned/indicated responsibilities

Hyderabad

Timings : Monday- Friday, 08:00 AM IST to 06:00 PM IST
