Operations Manager Corporate Events

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Corporate Events to lead the end-to-end planning, production, and execution of corporate events.

The candidate will be responsible for production planning, fabrication, technical production, vendor management, venue coordination, logistics, budgeting, and on-ground event execution. The role requires strong project management and team leadership skills, along with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates with strong experience in Corporate Events / Event Production will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning

- Understand client briefs and prepare detailed production plans and execution checklists.
- Prepare BOQs for fabrication, AV, branding, dcor, and event infrastructure.
- Develop production timelines, setup schedules, execution plans, and vendor deliverables.
- Prepare production layouts covering stage, LED screens, branding zones, engagement areas, etc.

2. Fabrication & Technical Production

- Plan and execute fabrication requirements including stages, backdrops, kiosks, installations, sets, stalls, and dcor.
- Coordinate with fabrication vendors for production, quality checks, installation, and dismantling.
- Manage technical production including LED walls, sound, lighting, projection, staging, trussing, and presentation equipment.
- Plan technical requirements including power distribution, cable routing, screen placement, and stage setup.
- Conduct technical rehearsals, sound checks, microphone testing, presentation testing, and show rehearsals.
- Ensure production and technical setups comply with venue and safety requirements.

3. Venue & Vendor Management

- Identify and evaluate suitable venues for conferences, corporate launches, employee events, exhibitions, and brand events.
- Conduct venue recce and assess loading access, rigging points, power availability, technical feasibility, and operational requirements.




- Coordinate with venue management for permissions, access, timelines, and operational support.
- Manage vendors across fabrication, AV, printing, dcor, logistics, gifting, and production.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate commercial terms, finalize vendors, and ensure delivery within approved budgets.

4. Logistics & Resource Planning

- Plan transportation and movement of production materials, branding assets, and technical equipment.
- Coordinate loading, unloading, dispatch, installation, and dismantling schedules.
- Manage production inventory and ensure timely availability of all resources at the venue.

5. Event Execution

- Lead on-ground production activities from setup through event completion.
- Supervise stage construction, branding, AV setup, dcor, registration areas, backstage operations, and engagement zones.
- Manage production crews, technicians, fabricators, electricians, riggers, and installation teams.
- Monitor timelines and resolve operational issues during execution.
- Conduct final checks to ensure all event elements are ready before the event begins.

6. Coordination & Risk Management

- Work closely with Client Servicing, Creative, Design, and Project Teams to execute approved concepts.
- Identify operational risks and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with venue regulations, safety standards, and company SOPs.
- Handle on-site challenges effectively while maintaining execution quality and client satisfaction.

7. Cost Control & Vendor Management

- Control production costs and ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
- Compare vendor quotations and negotiate commercially viable rates.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.

Post-Event Closure

- Supervise dismantling of fabrication, branding, stages, dcor, and technical equipment.
- Ensure timely return of hired equipment and materials.
- Coordinate vendor closure and venue handover.
- Prepare post-event reports, project feedback, and lessons learned.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Event Management / Project Management certification will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile

- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Events / Event Production.
- Strong hands-on experience in event production and on-ground execution.
- Good understanding of fabrication, AV, staging, branding, logistics, and vendor management.
- Solid commercial understanding and negotiation skills.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently manage projects from planning to closure.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Important Working Conditions

- Willingness to travel for event execution.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, late nights, and overnight setups when required.
- Strong on-ground execution capability is essential.
