To support the implementation of Health, Safety & Setting (HSE) requirements at construction sites by promoting a safe working culture, monitoring compliance with safety procedures, identifying unsafe acts and conditions, and assisting the project team in achieving zero harm objectives.

Role & responsibilities

1. Safety Surveillance & Compliance

- Conduct continuous safety monitoring of work activities across assigned work areas.
- Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific HSE requirements and statutory safety regulations.
- Verify usage of mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by workforce and subcontractors.
- Support implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.

2. Safety Awareness & Training

- Assist Safety Officers in conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Educate workers on safe working practices.
- Support safety awareness campaigns and behavior-based safety initiatives.
- Ensure safety signboards, barricades, and warning notices are maintained and displayed effectively.

3. Worksite Inspection & Hazard Control

- Participate in routine HSE inspections and audits.
- Assist in identifying risks associated with excavation, scaffolding,



lifting operations, work at height, and electrical activities.
- Monitor corrective actions for identified safety observations.
- Escalate critical safety violations immediately to supervisors.

4. Incident Reporting & Investigation Support

- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences promptly.
- Assist in preliminary incident investigations.
- Support implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions.

5. Emergency Preparedness

- Participate in mock drills and emergency response exercises.
- Ensure firefighting equipment and first aid facilities remain serviceable and accessible.
- Support emergency evacuation activities during incidents.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily safety observation records.
- Update PPE compliance records and inspection reports.
- Assist in preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
- Maintain statutory and project safety documentation as required.

Preferred candidate profile

Idle candidate should have 3 to 5 years experience with any garduation /

Diploma in Safety / Safety Certification Course.
