Job Title: AWS Data Architect

Role Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to design, govern, and evolve scalable, secure, and costefficient data architectures on AWS. The role focuses on defining data strategy, reference architectures, and best practices to enable analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own endtoend data architecture on AWS, including data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, and consumption layers.
- Design enterprisegrade data platforms using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Establish data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse architectures aligned with business and analytical needs.
- Develop architectural standards, patterns, and reference architectures for data engineering teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and domain teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Ensure data governance, security, privacy, and compliance (IAM, encryption, data access control, auditing).
- Guide teams on data modeling approaches (dimensional, normalized, eventdriven, domainoriented models).
- Review and approve solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and cost using AWS best practices.




- Lead architecture reviews, technical decisionmaking, and mentoring of data engineers.
- Partner with DevOps, Cloud, and Platform teams on CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and observability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience designing data architectures on AWS.
- Deep understanding of AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation, Kinesis).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, big data, and distributed data processing architectures.
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python.
- Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data governance frameworks.
- Handson experience with cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructureascode tools.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty.
- Experience with streaming and realtime data architectures.
- Exposure to up-to-date data mesh or domainoriented data architectures.
- Experience supporting advanced analytics, BI, or machine learning platforms.
- Background in Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
