- Operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) / Die-Sinking EDM machines.
- Set up jobs, electrodes, fixtures and workpieces correctly.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and machining instructions.
- Select suitable EDM parameters such as current, pulse-on time, pulse-off time, voltage and flushing conditions.
- Perform roughing, semi-finishing and finishing operations.
- Maintain required machining accuracy and surface finish.
- Check electrode dimensions and condition before machining.
- Properly align and set electrodes and workpieces.
- Perform job referencing and zero setting accurately.
- Maintain correct electrode-to-workpiece clearance.
- Ensure proper clamping and alignment to avoid machining errors.
