Position: SAP FICO Lead (Handson)

Reporting To: Head of SAP

We are hiring an SAP Finance and Costing Lead in Hyderabad for a listed pharmaceutical manufacturer. On site, permanent, reporting to the Head of SAP inside the IT and Digital function. I can name the client on a call.

Costing is what this role turns on. You would own product costing, material ledger, standard and actual costing, and COPA across the manufacturing sites, working directly with plant finance and the costing team on variance analysis, batch costing and inventory valuation. If your FICO background is mainly GL, AP, AR and asset accounting with CO sitting light on top, this will be a stretch and we would rather say so now.

The rest of the scope is the full FI stack plus the transformation work. S/4HANA, RISE migration, and standardising finance and controlling processes across plants, business units and legal entities. Integration runs to MM, SD, PP, QM, PM and WM/EWM, with IDocs, APIs and SAP CPI on the interface side. Indian statutory work is part of the job, so GST, TDS, TCS, e-invoicing and e-way bill are in scope, along with audit schedules and internal controls.





It is a validated workplace. You will write and review validation documents, SOPs and test scripts, and your configuration has to stand up in a regulatory inspection. Very few SAP FICO consultants have done finance config inside GxP, which is why we are naming it upfront rather than discovering it at interview.

You will also mentor the junior FICO team and build internal finance capability, so this is hands-on config plus workstream ownership, not one or the other.

What we need to see:

- Ten years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration with genuine solution ownership, not support ticket volume
- Product costing and material ledger delivered on real projects, evidenced in the CV
- S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal, ideally on a RISE migration or a large transformation programme
- Pharma or process manufacturing exposure, including process orders and production variances
- Cross-module integration with MM, SD, PP and QM
