Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Operator to join our Quality/Metrology team. The candidate will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), performing dimensional inspection of precision components, preparing inspection reports, and ensuring components meet drawing and customer specifications.

- Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and program CMM machines for dimensional inspection of components.
- Perform inspection of machined, fabricated, and precision components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret 2D drawings, GD&T;, geometric tolerances, datums, and inspection requirements.
- Develop and execute CMM inspection programs for new and existing components.
- Perform dimensional measurements including length, diameter, height, position, concentricity, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, profile, and true position.
- Generate and maintain CMM inspection reports and measurement records.
- Verify first-off, in-process, and final inspection components.
- Identify dimensional deviations and coordinate with Production/Quality teams for corrective actions.
- Maintain calibration and proper working condition of CMM and related measuring instruments.
- Follow standard inspection procedures and maintain traceability of inspection data.
- Support FAI, PPAP, customer inspection, and quality documentation as required.




- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow safety and quality procedures.
- Assist in improving inspection methods, measurement processes, and CMM programming efficiency.
- Required Technical SkillsHands-on experience operating CMM equipment.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS, CALYPSO, MODUS, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Gauge.
- Understanding of dimensional tolerances and inspection techniques.
- Basic knowledge of CNC-machined components and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to prepare accurate inspection reports.
- QualificationITI / Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in CMM operation and dimensional inspection preferred.
- Preferred Candidate ProfileStrong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of precision measurement and metrology.
- Ability to independently perform inspection and interpret drawings.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, precision engineering, or CNC machining will be an advantage.
