The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day legal, administrative and coordination functions of the office.
The role will primarily include:
- Preparing, organising and maintaining case files and related documents.
- Keeping track of ongoing matters, hearings, deadlines and case-wise follow-ups.
- Following up with clients for documents, information and other requirements relating to their matters.
- Managing the office administration and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.
- Maintaining proper office records, documents and filing systems.
- Maintaining and regularly updating the official calendar, including hearings, meetings, appointments, deadlines and other important schedules.
- Managing routine emails and professional communication.
- Being responsible for the marketing function of the office, including planning,
coordination and execution of marketing and communication activities.
- Ensuring that assigned work and follow-ups are completed in a timely and organised manner.
The candidate should have good written and spoken English, strong organisational skills and a responsible approach towards work.
The candidate should have an independent and solution-oriented mindset. While guidance can always be sought where genuinely required, the candidate should first understand the issue, apply her own mind and make a reasonable effort to find a solution rather than seeking instructions at every stage or for every minor issue.
