Sr. Manager – Construction & Government Projects

We are looking for an experienced and responsible General Manager to manage the overall operations of our construction and government contracting business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day operations of the company and multiple construction projects.
- Monitor project progress, site activities, quality, manpower and timelines.
- Coordinate with Government Departments, Engineers, Consultants, Clients and Vendors.
- Handle and supervise government tendering, tender documentation and e-tender submission.
- Coordinate for Work Orders, Agreements, Measurement Book (MB), Measurement, RA Bills and Final Bills.
- Follow up for government payments, running bills and pending bills.
- Supervise Site Engineers, Supervisors, Accountants and other staff.
- Manage procurement of construction materials and coordinate with suppliers/vendors.
- Monitor project-wise expenses, costing, cash flow and profitability.
- Coordinate with Accounts team for Tally, GST, TDS, billing and financial records.
- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly MIS and project progress reports.
- Identify operational problems and take timely corrective decisions.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with government officials, clients, contractors and suppliers.




- Identify new government and private construction business opportunities.
- Ensure proper coordination between office, site, accounts, procurement and management.
- The candidate should be capable of independently handling responsibilities in the absence of the Proprietor.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; 8+ years preferred.
- Experience in Construction, Infrastructure or Government Contracting is highly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of government tendering, construction project management, billing and payment follow-up.
- Robust leadership, team management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS and computer applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and government offices as required.
- Good English and Hindi communication skills.

Preferred Candidate: Candidates who have previously worked with a construction company, government contractor or infrastructure company and have practical experience in project operations, tendering, billing, government department coordination and team management will be preferred.
