We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled PL/SQL Developer with a strong emphasis on hands-on backend database coding, performance tuning, and complex business logic implementation.

About the Role

In this role, you will design, write, optimize, and maintain database components (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and analytical queries) for large-scale enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

- Core PL/SQL Development: Write clean, scalable, and highly efficient PL/SQL code, including complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Database Triggers, and Views.
- Database Design & Architecture: Design relational database schemas, tables, constraints, sequences, and indexes while maintaining data integrity and normalization standards.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization: Identify and resolve SQL/PL/SQL performance bottlenecks using Execution Plans, EXPLAIN PLAN, TKPROF, AWR/ASH reports, dynamic performance views, and hint optimization.
- Complex Data Processing: Develop advanced ETL pipelines and batch processing scripts utilizing BULK COLLECT, FORALL, collections, cursors, and table functions to handle high volumes of data efficiently.
- Business Logic Implementation: Translate complex business requirements into robust database-level logic and automated workflows.
- Data Migration & Integration: Write scripts for database maintenance, data transformations, standardizations, and migrations across different environments.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Debug production issue logs, handle database exceptions, implement fault-tolerant error handling mechanisms, and ensure zero data loss.
- Collaboration & Code Reviews: Conduct rigorous peer code reviews to enforce Oracle best practices, SQL standards, and continuous integration workflows.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering,



or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of pure hands-on backend PL/SQL development experience.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with distributed teams.
- Work Setup: Self-motivated and disciplined to deliver high-quality work independently in a remote (WFH) setting.

Required Skills

- Oracle Database Expertise: Strong experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 18c, or 19c.
- Advanced PL/SQL Concepts: Deep hands-on experience in Collections (Nested Tables, Associative Arrays, VARRAYs), Bulk Processing (BULK COLLECT, FORALL), Dynamic SQL (EXECUTE IMMEDIATE, DBMS_SQL), Ref Cursors, and Pipeline Table Functions.
- Analytical & Window Functions: Expert level proficiency in SQL analytical functions (ROW_NUMBER(), RANK(), DENSE_RANK(), LAG(), LEAD(), aggregation OVER clauses).
- Performance Optimization: Proven expertise in query optimization, indexing strategies (B-Tree, Bitmap, Composite), partition pruning, and execution plan analysis.
- Data Partitioning: Hands-on experience with Range, List, and Hash partitioning schemes on large tables.
- Version Control & Tools: Proficiency with tools like SQL Developer, TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, Git, SVN, and JIRA.

Preferred Skills

- Shell Scripting: Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting for automating Oracle batch jobs and cron jobs.
- Database Administration Knowledge: Basic understanding of DBA concepts like tablespaces, memory structures (SGA/PGA), locking mechanisms, and grant management.
- APEX / ORDS: Exposure to Oracle Application Express (APEX) or Oracle REST Data Services.
- Cloud Databases: Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS RDS (Oracle).
