Azim Premji University, Bhopal started operations in August 2023, offering postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The first phase of campus construction is complete and the overall 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities will be ready over the next few years. We expect to grow to about 4000 students and 500 members over the next few years.

We are expanding our team and are inviting applications for various operational roles at the University. We will offer members an enriching and fulfilling institution building experience with opportunities for setting up and implementation of key institutional processes, culture building and participation in various institutional bodies.

The role of a Resident Executive is to manage daily operations and management of student residences to ensure smooth functioning and create a safe and supportive living environment for the students.

Responsibilities:

Being a resident on campus: Resident executives are required to stay at the student residences (hostels). Accommodation will be provided at the residences.

Operations: As the first point of contact for students, listen to student concerns/ queries and liaison with other functions as may be needed to provide meaningful solutions. Also, collaborate with other functions of the University to ensure the safety and security of students and respond to any student concerns in a prompt manner, especially in the event of any emergency involving students.

Conflict Resolution: Develop conflict resolution strategies and resources to upskill students to address conflicts/ interpersonal issues within the residential community.

Student Club Activities: Identify student interest areas and facilitate establishment of clubs and organizing of events on campus.

Communication: Effective communication skills are essential in this role. Establish a schedule of regular check-in meetings and feedback channels for student residents to express concerns, provide suggestions, and voice their opinions about the residential community. Maintain record of resident interactions, incidents, and concerns, ensuring accountability and transparency.
