An Assistant Manager of Housekeeping supports the head of the department to direct daily shift operations, manage staff, and inspect property spaces to ensure high cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Inspections: Supervise daily shift routines, coordinate room assignments, and perform rigorous inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
- Staff Leadership: Train, motivate, and mentor room attendants and cleaning crew while tracking attendance and performance.
- Inventory Control: Monitor par stock levels for linens, guest amenities, uniforms, and cleaning supplies to avoid shortages.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Communicate room availability status rapidly with the Front Desk and report maintenance issues to engineering.
- Guest Relations: Handle guest complaints promptly, address special requests, and enforce quality control corrective actions.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping within a hospitality or resort setting.
Education: High school diploma or a degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration.
Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines
