What awaits you/ Job Profile
- BEV Module Lead, Program Manager, Assistant Chief Engineer – Passenger Car(M1)
- Own the complete delivery of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) programs, providing technical and strategic leadership from concept definition, vehicle architecture, target setting, development, validation, industrialization, and Start of Production (SOP).
- Serve as the vehicle engineering leader responsible for achieving program objectives related to performance, cost, quality, timing, manufacturability, safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and align multidisciplinary engineering organizations across HV Battery, E-Powertrain, Charging Systems, Thermal Management, Chassis, Body Structures, Interior & Exterior Systems, Electrical & Electronics, Software, Connectivity, and Vehicle Integration.
- Define and govern vehicle-level technical roadmaps, engineering strategies, critical performance indicators, development milestones, and decision-making frameworks to ensure successful product delivery.
- Establish technical direction and resolve complex cross-functional challenges involving vehicle architecture, packaging, system interfaces, electrical integration, thermal management, mass optimization, manufacturing feasibility, and product performance.
- Chair engineering reviews, gateway assessments, and technical governance forums, ensuring effective risk management, issue resolution, and timely decision-making throughout the program lifecycle.
- Review and sign off vehicle level validation, prototype build events, system integration activities, software-hardware convergence, regulatory certification, homologation, and production readiness assessments.
- Drive engineering excellence through the implementation of best practices in systems engineering, requirements management, digital development, model-based engineering, simulation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Program Management, Finance, Suppliers, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure business objectives are fully aligned with technical delivery.
- Champion innovation by identifying emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive benchmarks, translating them into product and engineering strategies that strengthen market competitiveness.
- Build and develop high-performing engineering teams through technical mentorship, talent development, succession planning, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary technical escalation and decision authority, balancing engineering trade-offs to optimize customer value, business performance, program timing, and product profitability.
- Establish a high-performance engineering culture focused on ownership, execution excellence, rapid decision-making, and first-time-right delivery across all stages of vehicle development.
What should you bring along
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 15 to 20 years of automotive product-development and vehicle-engineering experience.
- Proven delivery of at least 2 complete passenger-car
- Proven track record in BEV product development, vehicle integration, and complex engineering program leadership.
- Deep understanding of vehicle systems engineering,
electrification technologies, battery systems, powertrain integration, functional safety, homologation, and validation.
- Demonstrated success managing large cross-functional engineering teams and delivering products within aggressive quality, cost, and timing targets.
- Solid executive communication, stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to influence organizational direction and drive transformational improvements across engineering functions.
Must have technical skill
- Skilled in optimizing BEV range, efficiency, performance, charging, driveability, thermal performance, and regenerative braking.
- Program-level knowledge of BIW, trims, chassis, EE, software, CAS, PQ, service and manufacturing integration.
- Ability to review and challenge CAE results for crash, HV safety, stiffness, durability, NVH, aerodynamics and thermal performance.
- Strong command of M1 homologation, functional safety, electrical safety and BEV regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in vehicle-level cost, mass, quality, complexity, energy budget and technical-risk management.
- Strong in requirements, reviews, validation, releases, and change management.
- Decisive leadership with strong prioritization, escalation, conflict resolution and technical trade-off capability.
- Ability to build teams, delegate ownership, manage performance and hold all engineering functions accountable.
Good to have Technical skills
- Knowledge of functional safety, cybersecurity, diagnostics, OTA updates, software-defined vehicles, ADAS, connected features, and energy management.
- Skilled in digital validation, virtual vehicle development, homologation, lightweighting, cost optimization, manufacturing readiness, supplier development, and global engineering collaboration.
- Professional experience with European organisation, contributing to product development, engineering execution, and stakeholder collaboration.
