Role Description This full-time, on-site Structural Design Engineer role is based in Chennai and involves working on structural designs for buildings and infrastructure projects. The engineer will perform structural analysis and design, prepare drawings and technical documentation, and review design calculations to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability. Daily tasks include coordinating with project teams, using CAD and design software to develop detailed plans, and responding to design-related queries from site and client stakeholders. The role also includes participating in design reviews, supporting value engineering efforts, and keeping project records and documentation up to date.

Key Responsibilities





- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering discipline.
- Analysis & Design: Perform structural modeling, analysis, and detailed design for commercial, residential, or industrial structures (RCC and Structural Steel).
- Software Modeling: Utilize ETABS for 3D structural analysis/design and SAFE for foundation system design.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all structural designs comply strictly with structural design IS codes and standards
- Drawing Review: Review, check, and approve structural drafting outputs (General Arrangement drawings,RCC detailing, connection details, and bar bending schedules).
- Coordination: Coordinate closely with architectural, MEP, and BIM/CAD teams to resolve clashes and ensure seamless project integration.
- Site Support & Inspection: Visit construction sites periodically to inspect reinforcement execution, verify structural alignment, address site Queries/RFIs, and approve critical pour stages.
- Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings and coordinate structural designs accordingly.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
