Role Overview:

Repro is seeking a hands-on Software D2C Tech Lead who will help to shape up the D2C brand of Repro named Bookscape. The candidate should have a good experience in building the D2C product. The candidate will own and scale our direct-to-consumer digital ecosystem. This role will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining high-performing eCommerce platforms, ensuring seamless customer journeys, and driving innovation across digital touchpoints. The candidate will spend approximately 60% of time in active coding and system design and 40% in technical leadership and team management. This role requires deep engineering capabilities combined with the ability to mentor teams and drive scalable, production-grade architecture. You will work closely with business, product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver scalable, data-driven, and customer centric technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

n

Platform Ownership & Development

n

• Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of D2C platforms custom stack

n

• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of the eCommerce ecosystem

n

• Manage integrations with payment gateways, logistics, CRM, ERP, and marketing tools.

n

n

Customer Experience & Conversion

n

• Optimize website/app performance, UX, and conversion funnels

n

• Implement personalization, recommendation engines,



and A/B testing frameworks

n

• Ensure mobile-first and omnichannel experiences.

n

n

Tech Strategy & Innovation

n

• Define and execute the D2C technology roadmap aligned with business goals

n

• Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and technologies

n

• Drive automation across operations (order management, inventory sync, etc.)

n

n

Data & Analytics

n

• Leverage analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, etc.) for insights and decision-making

n

• Build dashboards for business KPIs like CAC, LTV, conversion rates

n

• Enable data-driven experimentation and growth

n

Team Leadership

n

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, QA, and tech specialists

n

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams

n

• Manage external vendors, agencies, and tech partners

n

n

Required Skills & Qualifications

n

• Strong experience with D2C/eCommerce platforms (Shopify preferred)

n

• Proficiency in frontend (React, HTML, CSS, JS) and backend technologies

n

• Experience with APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations

n

• Knowledge of payment systems, checkout optimization, and security standards

n

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

n

• Robust understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and web vitals.
