Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity estimation, cost planning, billing, and contract administration for residential construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction methodologies, BOQs, rate analysis, and project cost control.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed Quantity Take-Offs (QTO) from drawings.
Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Estimate project costs and prepare budgets.
Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour, and subcontract works.
Verify contractor and subcontractor bills.
Monitor project costs and ensure work is completed within budget.
Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and site engineers.
Prepare tender documents and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
Track material consumption and minimize wastage.
Prepare cost comparison statements and procurement recommendations.
Assist in contract administration, variation orders, and final account settlement.
Maintain project documentation and MIS reports.
Support project planning and cash flow forecasting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 2 years of experience in residential or commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, billing, and cost control.
Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Good knowledge of construction materials and market rates.
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
MS Office
ERP software (preferred)
Solid analytical and negotiation skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience in apartment or residential building projects.
Knowledge of tendering and procurement.
Familiarity with project scheduling and cost monitoring.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
