Job Purpose

To lead the complete maintenance function for SMT manufacturing operations, ensuring high equipment availability, minimum downtime, optimum OEE, effective preventive maintenance, and reliable utility support while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end maintenance operations for SMT production lines and associated equipment.
Ensure maximum machine availability and reliability to meet production targets.
Drive Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Breakdown Maintenance programs.
Monitor and improve key maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, machine availability, downtime, and OEE.
Ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of critical machine breakdowns to minimize production losses.
Lead maintenance activities for SMT equipment, including:Solder Paste Printers
SPI
Pick & Place machines
Reflow Ovens
AOI
X-Ray
Conveyors and material handling systems
Air compressors and other supporting equipment
Coordinate with OEMs/service providers for AMC, machine servicing, spares, software, upgrades, and technical support.
Develop and maintain critical spare-parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.
Analyze recurring breakdowns through RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone,



and CAPA and ensure permanent corrective actions.
Drive TPM, Kaizen, OEE improvement, and maintenance cost-reduction initiatives.
Ensure proper maintenance documentation, machine history, PM schedules, checklists, and breakdown records.
Lead recent machine installation, commissioning, qualification, and handover activities.
Support NPI and capacity expansion projects from the maintenance and equipment-readiness perspective.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of critical measuring and inspection equipment.
Coordinate with Production, IE, Quality, Materials, NPI, and Projects teams for smooth plant operations.
Ensure compliance with ESD, electrical safety, machine safety, 5S, statutory, and environmental requirements.
Develop the technical capability of the maintenance team through training, skill-matrix development, and competency enhancement.
Manage manpower planning, shift deployment, performance monitoring, and contractor management.
Prepare and review daily/monthly maintenance MIS and present performance to plant leadership.
Drive automation and digitalization initiatives for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and real-time equipment tracking.
