The Logistics & Dispatch Executive will be responsible for managing the end-to-end dispatch process, including vehicle arrangement, freight collection, shipment tracking, and documentation. This role ensures timely and cost-effective movement of materials from the plant to branches and customers while maintaining compliance with company standards and agreed transit timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Arrangement & Dispatch
Arrange vehicles as per requirement within defined timelines.
Obtain quotations from the market for the given destination & finalize negotiated rates & confirm lorry placement at the plant.
Coordinate with the plant team for vehicle arrival and release confirmation.
Share dispatch details with concerned stakeholders via email.
Confirm secure delivery with consignee within agreed transit time.
Freight Collection
Collect primary & secondary freight details from vendors after the dispatch & update the LR numbers with freight costs in reports.
Compile and update freight details share with concerned teams.
Material Dispatch (Plant / Branch / C&F;)
Ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials through transporters/couriers.
Ensure same-day dispatch from C&F; points post invoicing and report in monthly meetings.
Collect daily secondary dispatch details from branches including Invoice No., LR No., Transporter/Courier name.
Shipment Tracking
Track consignments regularly on transporter/courier portals.
Share shipment status updates with concerned stakeholders.
Follow up with transporters/couriers to ensure timely deliveries.
MIS & Reporting
Prepare and share freight data for cost analysis with product and transporter details.
Submit monthly Booking vs Delivery and Transit Time reports for meetings.
Vendor Bills & Documentation
Submit LR copies and transport/courier summaries to Accounts for timely payments.
Ensure confirmation of receipt with the concerned stakeholders.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
