Job Summary

Responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure that all parts meet approved engineering drawings, specifications, dimensional tolerances, and customer quality requirements

Key Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, machined components, and finished products as per drawings and specifications.
Perform incoming, in-process, first-piece, and final inspection.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T.;
Check critical dimensions using appropriate measuring instruments.
Operate and use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Thread Gauges, Plug Gauges, Ring Gauges, etc.
Coordinate with the CMM Operator for detailed dimensional inspection when required.
Verify surface finish, visual appearance, threads, holes, profiles,



and other component characteristics.
Identify and segregate rejected/non-conforming components.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
Record inspection results accurately and ensure proper traceability.
Communicate quality issues to Production and Quality Engineers.
Support investigation of rejection, rework, and customer complaints

Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

Experience
1–3 years of experience in quality inspection preferred.
Experience in CNC/VMC/HMC machined components is an advantage.
Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.
