Academic Counselor – Job Description

Position: Academic Counselor
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-time | On-site

Key Responsibilities:
Counsel students and parents regarding academic programs, courses, and career opportunities.
Understand students’ academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals and recommend suitable programs.
Provide accurate information about courses, eligibility, admission procedures, and fees.
Handle student enquiries through calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
Maintain regular follow-ups and update student information in CRM systems.
Coordinate with admission teams and institutions to ensure smooth application processing.
Conduct counseling sessions, presentations, and student orientation programs.




Achieve assigned admission/enrollment targets and maintain high student satisfaction.
Stay updated on current courses, universities/institutions, admission requirements, and education trends.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
1–3 years of experience in academic counseling, admissions, education, EdTech, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Robust convincing, counseling, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to understand student requirements and provide appropriate guidance.
Positive follow-up and relationship-management skills.
Comfortable working with targets and deadlines.
Freshers with excellent communication skills may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
