Key Responsibilities
Monitor the overall functioning of the assigned floor and ensure smooth daily operations.
Conduct regular rounds of the floor and identify operational issues, patient-related concerns, and service gaps.
Coordinate with Nursing, Housekeeping, PCA/Attendants, Maintenance, Security, Billing, and other departments for timely resolution of issues.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and proper upkeep of patient rooms, corridors, nursing stations, and common areas.
Monitor housekeeping and attendant staff deployment and ensure duties are being performed properly.
Follow up on patient complaints, requests, and service-related issues and coordinate for quick resolution.
Ensure availability of essential supplies, linen, housekeeping materials, and other floor requirements.
Check room readiness, patient shifting, discharge-related coordination, and bed availability as required.
Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, grooming, and compliance with hospital policies.
Coordinate with the nursing team regarding patient movement, room requirements, and other operational matters.
Report maintenance, electrical, plumbing, equipment,



or facility-related issues to the concerned department and follow up until resolution.
Maintain proper communication between the floor staff and hospital management.
Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, safety procedures, infection-control practices, and service standards.
Maintain daily floor inspection/checklist reports and escalate major issues to the reporting manager.
Assist management during audits, inspections, VIP visits, emergencies, and special operational requirements.
Ensure staff follow proper uniform, ID card, hygiene, and skilled behaviour standards.
Identify recurring operational problems and suggest improvements to management.
Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting manager or hospital management.
