Branch Manager Key Responsibilities
Business & Sales Target
Achieve branch-level premium, policy and revenue targets.
Drive current business and improve productivity.
Track daily/weekly/monthly sales performance.
Team Management
Recruit, train and develop sales managers/agents.
Set individual targets and monitor performance.
Conduct regular reviews and motivate the team.
Distribution Management
Depending on the company, a BM may handle channels such as:
Agency
Direct/Employee channel
Bancassurance
Broking/Corporate channels
Loyalty or other specialized channels
Customer & Business Development
Build relationships with customers and business partners.
Generate leads and identify current business opportunities.
Improve customer retention and persistency.
Branch Operations
Ensure smooth day-to-day branch functioning.
Coordinate with underwriting, operations, claims and other departments.
Ensure proper documentation and timely processing.
