We are looking for a senior automotive leader to drive Product Portfolio Strategy and Platform Development for Bus & CLCV, with end-to-end ownership across product strategy, development, profitability, quality, cost and time.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead platform strategy and product portfolio planning for Bus & CLCV in alignment with market, customer and business requirements.
Develop and manage product platforms, variants and projects based on market share, customer needs, regulatory requirements and competitive benchmarking.
Lead multiple critical vehicle development programmes from concept through industrialisation and SOP.
Drive Time, Cost & Quality (TCQ), product development gateways and First-Time-Right execution.
Ensure effective product strategy covering product mix, technology roadmap, platform commonisation and future product requirements.
Drive product profitability through business cases, VAVE, material cost reduction, pricing, volume and cost optimisation initiatives.
Lead techno-commercial decisions and trade-offs across Product Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales and other functions.
Review platform performance with functional heads, plant heads, project leaders and COEs.
Engage with customers,



dealers and suppliers to incorporate market insights into product development.
Drive innovation, benchmarking and customer-centric product development.
Represent the organisation in relevant industry forums including SIAM, ARAI and external technology forums.
Build and develop high-performing product development teams and strengthen technical leadership capability.

Desired Profile:
20 to 25 years of experience in Automotive Product Development.
Solid experience in Commercial Vehicles Trucks / Buses / LCV / HCV preferred.
Proven experience in complete vehicle / platform development and vehicle architecture.
Experience managing multiple vehicle development programmes from concept to SOP.
Robust understanding of product strategy, product planning, portfolio management and platform profitability.
Exposure to business case preparation, VAVE, cost optimisation, benchmarking and technology roadmaps.
Solid cross-functional leadership and techno-commercial decision-making capability.
Experience with customer/dealer interactions and external industry forums will be an advantage.
Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
