Lead Formulation Chemist R&D; & Quality
Lead end-to-end formulation development of specialty coolants and glycol-based heat transfer fluids.
Develop OAT corrosion inhibitor formulations for 25% propylene glycol/water-based fluids.
Design and execute formulation screening using carboxylates, azoles and DOE.
Conduct and interpret ASTM D1384, D2570, D4340 and ASTM G1 corrosion testing.
Lead raw material specifications, supplier qualification and compatibility studies.
Scale formulations from laboratory/bench scale to pilot and commercial production.
Own QC protocols, batch release, COA review, OOS investigation and CAPA.
Manage stability, thermal ageing and shelf-life testing.
Build and manage the R&D;/QC laboratory, including hiring and supervising technical staff.
Drive ISO 9001 / NABL / ISO 17025 laboratory quality initiatives.
Support customer technical queries,
OEM qualification and field performance investigations.
Develop current coolant/heat-transfer fluid products and maintain the technical product roadmap.
Requirements
M.Sc./M.Tech/PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry or Corrosion Science.
3+ years of experience in formulation of coolants, antifreeze, heat-transfer fluids, metalworking fluids, water-treatment chemicals or similar functional fluids.
Solid hands-on experience in corrosion testing and multi-metal corrosion inhibition.
Experience taking formulations from R&D; to commercial production.
Exposure to formal quality management, batch release and CAPA processes.
