Responsibilities
Development, implementation, and maintenance of embedded software for medical and industrial systems
Programming in C/C++ on microcontroller and embedded Linux platforms
Integration of hardware and software components
Analysis and troubleshooting of software defects
Execution of software testing and documentation of development results
Collaboration with systems, hardware (electronics), and quality teams
Creation and maintenance of unit tests (including metrics)
Creation and maintenance of automated software and device tests
Qualifications
Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
Experience in embedded software development using C/C++
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and/or embedded Linux
Experience with communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I C, CAN, or Ethernet
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
Valuable English language skills
Knowledge of Python
Ability to communicate effectively across departments and across locations
Preferred
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., medical technology)
Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and modern development processes
Experience with Zephyr OS, which is being considered for current implementations and is becoming the ZEISS standard for embedded software
Experience with GCC, including migration from the Keil toolchain and development for Zephyr-based systems
