Job Summary

The Medical Typist is responsible for accurately typing and formatting medical reports, including diagnostic, radiology, ultrasound, and laboratory-related reports, based on the instructions or voice recordings provided by doctors and reporting physicians.

Key Responsibilities
Type medical reports accurately from doctor dictations, voice recordings, or handwritten notes.
Prepare and format radiology, ultrasound, laboratory, and other diagnostic reports.
Ensure correct spelling, grammar, medical terminology, measurements, and patient details.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
Review reports for typing errors and formatting inconsistencies before final submission.
Coordinate with radiologists, pathologists, doctors, and reporting staff whenever clarification is required.
Complete assigned reports within the required turnaround time (TAT).
Make corrections or modifications as instructed by the reporting doctor.
Maintain proper documentation and digital records of reports.




Follow the diagnostic centre's quality and data privacy procedures.

Required Skills
Valuable knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent English typing and listening skills.
Positive typing speed with high accuracy.
Basic knowledge of MS Word, email, and computer applications.
Ability to understand medical abbreviations and terminology.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet report TAT.

Educational Qualification
Any Graduate / Diploma in Medical Transcription / Medical Typing preferred.
Candidates with experience in hospital, diagnostic centre, radiology, or medical transcription will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate: Candidates with prior experience as a Medical Typist, Radiology Typist, Medical Transcriptionist, or Diagnostic Report Typist will be given preference.
