Power Automate Developer & Production Support Engineer

Role Overview

An experienced Power Automate skilled to own both development and production support for a portfolio of flows hosted on Microsoft Azure building current automations, enhancing existing ones, and keeping them reliable in production.

This role requires someone who can work independently with minimal oversight, and who can root-cause production issues on their own. Prior experience working with Global customers and teams.

Key Responsibilities

Development
Design, build, and deploy new Power Automate flows based on business requirements
Enhance existing flows — triggers, connectors, branching logic, and integrations
Build in exception handling, retry logic, and failure-recovery patterns
Integrate with Azure services and third-party systems (APIs, SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, Teams, etc.)
Test and validate flows, including edge cases, before production release

Production Support & Monitoring
Daily review of automation execution status against the flow schedule
Independently investigate and root-cause failed or degraded flow runs
Restart, re-run, or remediate flows as needed, with documentation of the fix




Set up monitoring/alerting to catch issues proactively
Maintain runbooks and incident documentation
Provide daily status summaries and monthly reports, including root-cause analysis of recurring issues

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting Power Automate flows in production
Strong knowledge of Azure services used alongside Power Automate (Logic Apps, Functions, Key Vault, Storage, Service Bus)
Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and root-cause failures using flow run history, connector logs, and Azure diagnostics
Solid grasp of exception handling, retry logic, and resilient flow design
Experience with common connectors: SharePoint, Outlook/Exchange, Teams, Dataverse, SQL Server, REST/HTTP APIs
Comfortable owning ambiguous problems end-to-end, from triage to resolution
Strong written communication for status reporting and documentation

Preferred
Power Platform certifications (PL-500, PL-900, or equivalent)
Experience with Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
