The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role includes monitoring patient health, administering medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care based on the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Assist doctors during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed.
Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively.
Participate in ward rounds and team meetings.
Supervise junior staff and assist with their training if required.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (GNM/BSc Nursing).
Valid nursing license/registration with [Insert Relevant Nursing Council].
